About Me
Tyler is originally from Salt Lake City, UT, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah in 2008. He originally thought he wanted to go to medical school until he was involved in a work-study program at the University of Utah’s Physical Therapy program, where he was able to work one-on-one with patients who had experienced either CVA or TIA. Following his experiences there, Tyler decided to pursue a career in physical therapy.
In the Fall of 2008, Tyler and his family moved to Concord, NH, to study physical therapy at Franklin Pierce University. Following earning his DPT degree in the spring of 2011, Tyler and his family then settled down in Goodyear, AZ and have been in the area ever since. During his career, he has mostly worked in the outpatient setting but has had some experiences with home health and inpatient settings as well. He has been in a management/leadership position over the past 10 years. He enjoys being able to work with all members of the team in developing a warm, welcoming setting in the clinic where both patients and employees can grow and succeed. He enjoys working with post-surgical patients the most, as it is very rewarding to see them return to the previous activity that they were unable to do prior to surgery. But he also just really enjoys the wide variety of conditions and diagnoses that can be treated in the outpatient setting.
In his free time (if he has any), he enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 kids, playing games, watching movies, hiking, or traveling. He and his wife enjoy running and have recently gotten more involved with long-distance running and trail running, and they hope to be able to complete an ultra-distance run this year. (Longer than 26.2 miles) He is also currently a brand ambassador for Alter Ego Running company.
And if Tyler is looking for some good sports to watch, he is either cheering for the World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers or the University of Utah. Go Utes!
