About Me:
Sara Gagliano, PT, DPT, CLT-UE is an Iowa native who moved to Arizona and joined the Spooner team in 2011. Sara received her bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Iowa. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 at Creighton University.
Sara has undergone advanced training in pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic and breast oncology, and principles of Applied Functional Science in treating the pelvic floor. She is also a Certified Rehab Specialist through the Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist for the Upper Extremity through Klose Training.
Sara enjoys treating patients who experience pain and dysfunction from:
• various orthopedic conditions
• treatment for breast and pelvic cancers
• breast cancer-related lymphedema
• prenatal and postpartum conditions
• pelvic floor conditions such as acute and chronic pelvic pain, vulvodynia, and interstitial cystitis
• incontinence and prolapse
Sara is passionate about delivering top notch, individualized care combined with the expertise and knowledge of the complexities related to breast cancer treatment and pelvic conditions. Sara strives to treat the whole person to improve the patient’s overall function and quality of life. Sara is also dedicated to educating about the importance of adequate pre- and postnatal musculoskeletal and pelvic care to help prevent function down the road.
