McKenzie Giancola joined the Spooner PT team in September 2023. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Portland, OR where she grew up playing soccer, softball, and basketball. She played collegiate softball at Corban University in Salem, OR and finished up her undergraduate education at Portland State University before moving to Nashville, TN in August 2020 for PT school. She spent some time in Bend, OR, San Diego, CA, Glendale, AZ, and Charleston, SC during her clinical rotations. She had the opportunity to complete a rotation with the Chicago White Sox Organization during Spring training where She was introduced to working with professional overhead athletes. She was initially drawn to the PT profession because of the connection to sports and being able to stay associated with an athletic population. She loves being able to be such a large part of an individual’s rehab process and helping them to
Outside the clinic:
McKenzie and her sister recently moved to AZ from Nashville, TN, and are living in North Scottsdale. She loves staying active and being
outside. She has recently gotten into tennis and pickleball on the weekends. Her family has a wake surfing boat so she enjoys spending
time out on the lake and doing some surfing. Her ideal mornings start with hot yoga and typically nice long walks when it’s cool out.
