Marlena started pursuing an education in exercise and wellness her sophomore year of college at Chandler Gilbert Community College, receiving an Associates degree in Science in 2014. She then attended Arizona State University where she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelors in Exercise and Wellness. Throughout that time, she spent over 6 years working as a physical therapy technician in several different clinics where she built a strong foundation of patient care and day to day clinical operations. Marlena went on to attend the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Pima Medical Institute in Mesa and graduated November of 2021. During her schooling, Marlena received a Level 1 Pelvic Floor certification through Herman and Wallace Institution in July of 2021 and hopes to get many more certifications to further her skill set and benefit future patients. Marlena is extremely excited to be working at a facility that not only addresses patients physical needs, but creates an open environment for learning and fun.

Marlena, an Arizona native, grew up with two older brothers, one older sister, and two younger adopted sisters. When Marlena is not working, you will find her salsa dancing, performing in a classic rock band, spending time with family, traveling with her boyfriend, or adventuring with her dog.
