About Me
Malia was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She got her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During undergrad, she worked as a respite care provider and ABA therapist where she further developed her interest for helping individuals achieve their maximum level of independence. From there she went to Huntington University where she pursued her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy. She developed a passion for hand therapy during her cadaver lab and functional anatomy courses. That passion was further expanded when she completed her first clinical rotation in Hand Therapy at Spooner Ahwatukee.
Outside the clinic, Malia enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and spending time with her dog.
