About Me:
Hello! My Name is Lucas Myers, and I knew i wanted to be in physical therapy since I was a freshman in high school. I’ve always loved sports and medicine, and how the human body works has always fascinated me. Through shadowing family members and church members who were physical therapists, I knew that the outpatient pace and environment was the setting for me. I attended Walla Walla University for my undergraduate degrees, then went to Loma Linda University for my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I worked at an outpatient PT clinic in Sacramento, CA after passing my boards. I then moved to Arizona in 2021 when I got engaged to my now-wife.
I am a firm believer in the concept of whole-body care. Patient education is a huge component in my treatment philosophy, I want my patients to participate because they understand what they are doing and why, and not just because I told them to. I also admit that although I am educated as a musculoskeletal expert, I don’t know more about my patient’s bodies than they do, and so I believe in collaboration with the patient, listening to them and honoring what they feel as they move through PT.
Outside of the Clinic:
My wife and i live in Chandler with our Goldendoodle, Molly and our 2 orange tabbies, Foster and Malcolm. We enjoy driving adventures, camping, and healthy competition, and we are at our happiest when relaxing in nature. I’ve always loved playing football, basketball, racquetball, and softball, and will watch just about any sport that is on. I’ve coached flag football at my old high school in Sacramento, and look forward to more coaching opportunities down the road.
