About Me
Lucas joined Spooner in July of 2024 after completing an APTA accredited Orthopedic Residency program at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. Individual and group mentorship, clinical decision making discussion, and manual therapy technique training allowed him to refine his clinical thought processes and clinical skills to achieve a greater understanding at the local tissue level as well as the person as a whole. This, along with a friendly and encouraging attitude will help to maximize treatment outcomes and help you achieve your goals.
Lucas is intent on continuing to add to his evidence based practice by taking continuing education courses in musculoskeletal manual therapy, neuromuscular techniques (PNF), and pain science education. He enjoys developing and implementing personalized treatment, pain management/education, and progressive return to activity and sports programs that will effectively treat patients’ body, mind, and spirit through movement.
He began his career in Queen Creek and Chandler, Arizona during the orthopedic residency before joining Spooner in July of 2024 as a staff physical therapist. Lucas lives in the local area with his wife and dog, Ox. Growing up in the Chicagoland area, he is an avid Chicago sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his ever-growing nieces and nephews. He spends many of his days outside of the clinic exploring the Valley’s beautiful hiking trails.
