About Me:
Chafin joined the Spooner Glendale team in July 2023. She was born and raised in Indiana, where she completed both her undergraduate and doctoral degrees at Indiana University. During her senior year of undergrad, Chafin worked as a rehabilitation aide for an orthopedic occupational therapist, where her passion for hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation began. Throughout OT school, Chafin completed clinical rotations focusing on hand therapy, pediatrics, powered mobility, and intensive interventions. A final clinical rotation in hand therapy brought Chafin to Arizona and concluded her decision to make the cross country move after graduation.
Outside the Clinic:
Chafin enjoys taking advantage of the year-round nice weather by hiking, playing pickleball, and exploring local breweries with her golden retriever. She also enjoys indoor rock climbing, local coffee shops, and concerts.
