About Me

Amy is an Arizona-native who went to DePauw University in Indiana to play softball for 4 years. She returned to the warm weather after graduating with her Bachelors in Kinesiology – Exercise Science. She then attended PT school at the Phoenix campus of Northern Arizona University. She spent her first 7 professional years pursuing her passion of pediatrics in an outpatient multidisciplinary clinic. She has experience working with children as young as a few weeks to as old as 20+ years, and is familiar with diagnoses ranging from torticollis to Autism to cerebral palsy. Throughout her time, she grew her career from being just a therapist to a Clinical Director overseeing 3 clinics.

Amy is now with Spooner where she is challenging herself to merge her pediatric experience with the sports medicine world. With children specializing in sports at a much younger age, she sees a need to provide these children with specialized care that will help them return to sport even stronger.

Outside the clinic, Amy enjoys spending time with her wife and son hanging outside in the pool, playing at the park, or visiting the zoo. She loves attending any sporting events and occasionally participates in recreational sports, like slow-pitch softball or rock climbing. Amy enjoys solo activities, including jigsaw puzzles and reading, but prefers to be around friends and family playing board games.
