Course Description

A Continuing Education Course For Physical Therapists 

Every therapist has experienced challenges with an SI, hip, knee or foot patient who continues to have pain despite every treatment technique and excellent patient compliance. So, what next?

Come learn from one of the nation’s clinical experts and finally, truly understand lower extremity biomechanics in a functional and clinically applicable system that will allow you to more efficiently and effectively treat all manner of lower extremity pathology and dysfunction.

This course is designed to help clinicians understand how subtle gait deviations can manifest as pathology from foot to lumbar spine and treatment interventions.

In this course you will learn:

  • Comprehensive gait analysis 
  • Common lower extremity compensation strategies and associated pathologies (from foot to lumbar spine) 
  • Common lower extremity mal-alignments 
  • Treatment options: manual therapy, techniques, various taping methods, exercise application, in-clinic orthotic fabrication and prescription 
  • Current applicable research

About Anthony C. Bare, DPT, OCS, ATC

Tony Bare is a 1994 graduate of the Army-Baylor Physical Therapy program in San Antonio, Texas. He has been working in out-patient physical therapy and sports medicine clinics for the last 25 years. Tony has completed a tour working with Olympic athletes throughout the Armed Forces and 3 Army deployments. Tony has a cash-pay practice in Fort Collins, CO and Laramie, WY. Tony has taught Post- Graduate and APTA and NATA accredited continuing education courses on gait, biomechanics, orthotics, and taping intervention since 1997.
