I invite you to join us and learn more at our free community event, “Strong and Pregnant”
Spooner Ahwatukee pelvic floor therapist Janette Kuhns, MOTR/L, will discuss how your body and pelvic floor will change with each trimester and how having a pelvic floor specialist can help you navigate your body’s changes.
Janette Kuhns, MOTR/L, is a passionate Pelvic Floor and Orthopedic therapist originally from Seattle, WA. After graduating with a BS in Psychology with a Sport Psychology minor from WWU, she became a corrective exercise trainer and fell in love with helping people reduce their pain through physical activity and lifestyle redesign. She’s always had a passion for women’s health, whether it’s the peri- and postpartum population or general pelvic pain and dysfunction. Going into OT school she knew that this was the path she was meant to explore. She has taken continuing education in pelvic floor therapy, pregnancy rehabilitation, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).
Janette’s goal is to ensure patients receive the care and education that will allow them to continue to be empowered experts on their own bodies. She believes all aspects of your life (mental, physical, emotional) contribute to your health and recovery, and no stone should be left unturned. She is passionate about occupational therapy because it has taught her to practice with a whole-person approach that ultimately leads patients back to the activities they love.
