About Me:
Juan was born and raised in a small country town in Guatemala and arrived to the United States at the age of 16. In his high school years, Juan became a very competitive wrestler and suffered a few injuries which led to his passion for Physical Therapy.
Juan attended the PTA program at GateWay Community College, and in late 2018 became a licensed PTA. Juan’s desires for becoming a PTA are to help athletes return to their sports and for patients to be able to return to work in order to support themselves and their family. A great desire Juan has is to help patients with symptoms of Parkinson’s with general strengthening in order to reduce and delay the symptoms so they can maintain their independence and quality of life. Treating chronic headaches and migraines is also a passion, because Juan believes these conditions are often overlooked and can have a significant detrimental impact on our physical and mental health.
Juan enjoys living an active lifestyle. In his free time, Juan enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, competitive and non-competitive endurance running and soccer.
