About Me

MacKenzie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL where she was heavily involved in athletics, mainly volleyball, all throughout her childhood. After graduating from the University of Iowa, MacKenzie got her certificate in personal training during the pandemic and began creating exercise programs for friends and family in her free time. She moved to Arizona in 2021 to pursue her degree in occupational therapy from A.T. Still University. Throughout the program, she became extremely passionate in hand therapy and has spent hours in the anatomy lab dissecting the upper extremity as a teacher’s aide (TA). While at A.T. Still, she completed clinical experiences in hand therapy and neurological rehabilitation. She also completed her capstone research project with the L.A. Galaxy soccer club looking into the effects of vision training interventions on athletic performance. MacKenzie is passionate about helping individuals recover from injuries and maximize their performance to promote a holistic and healthy lifestyle.

Outside of the clinic, MacKenzie enjoys spending time outside. She loves to go paddleboarding on Saguaro Lake, play pickleball, and go golfing with her boyfriend in her free time. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and traveling to new states or countries to try new things and make memories with her friends and family.
